The Challenge
More marketing spend isn’t always the answer.
Many organizations are surrounded by marketing data but still lack a clear view of what is actually producing business value. Platform attribution, agency incentives, legacy spending, and operational gaps can all distort the picture.
The question isn’t simply whether your marketing is generating activity. It’s whether the right investments are producing the right outcomes—and whether anything between the click and the customer is quietly eroding performance.
SPEND
Where are dollars actually producing value?
Identify campaigns, channels, audiences, and legacy spending that may no longer justify the investment.
ATTRIBUTION
Are platforms taking credit they haven’t truly earned?
Separate platform-reported performance from the business outcomes that actually matter.
FUNNEL
Is the problem marketing—or what happens after the lead?
Find where response time, handoffs, follow-up, or conversion processes may be suppressing results.
Where Value Leaks
Where marketing value most often disappears.
Waste isn’t always obvious. Sometimes it shows up in media spend. Sometimes it sits inside attribution, follow-up, ownership, or reporting. The audit looks across the full path from investment to outcome.
SPEND
Spend Leakage
Ineffective campaigns, channels, audiences, or legacy spending that may no longer deserve the investment.
ATTRIBUTION
Attribution Leakage
Platforms or vendors receiving credit for results they may not have actually created.
FUNNEL
Funnel Leakage
Leads entering the system but being lost through slow response, poor handoffs, or weak follow-up.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Infrastructure Leakage
Weak tracking, fragmented reporting, missing access, or critical marketing assets controlled by third parties.
The Solution
The Executive Marketing Efficiency Audit
A focused, independent review designed to identify waste, uncover opportunity, and give leadership a clearer roadmap for better marketing decisions.
You’ll leave with a prioritized view of what to keep, fix, stop, test, and investigate next.
- Marketing Spend Analysis
- Attribution & Channel Performance
- Funnel & Conversion Review
- Technology & Data Infrastructure
- Prioritized Recommendations
- Executive Readout & Q&A
What you’ll Know
A clearer view of what deserves your marketing dollars—and what doesn’t.
The goal of the audit is not more reporting. It is better decision-making. You should leave with a clearer understanding of where performance is strong, where value is being lost, and what deserves attention first.
Where spend may be wasted
Identify areas where investment may be producing little or no meaningful return.
Where additional investment may make sense
See which channels, campaigns, or opportunities appear worthy of more attention.
Whether your attribution can be trusted
Understand where platform and agency reporting may overstate performance.
Where leads are falling out of the funnel
Identify operational or procedural gaps between marketing activity and revenue.
What deserves immediate attention
Separate high-priority issues from lower-value distractions.
What to keep, fix, stop, test, or investigate
Leave with a prioritized decision framework rather than a pile of observations.
Relevant Operating Experience
Built from experience managing real marketing budgets, teams, and growth expectations.
This audit is informed by in-house executive marketing experience across multi-location healthcare and financial services, including responsibility for multimillion-dollar budgets, paid media, marketing operations, reporting, growth initiatives, and executive decision support. The perspective is practical and operator-led: focused on what deserves investment, what can be improved, and what may no longer justify the spend.
Multi-Location Healthcare
$4M → $2M
Reduced annual marketing investment by approximately 50% while preserving growth objectives across a large multi-market organization.
Included oversight of large-scale paid media, reputation management, reporting, and multi-location marketing operations.
Regional Bank
$825K → $738K
Reduced annual marketing investment by 10.5% while driving $43.8M in core deposit growth and a 20% YoY increase in new business checking accounts.
Experience included digital strategy, deposit growth initiatives, marketing automation, sponsorship evaluation, and executive reporting.
“When I got here, marketing was by far the #1 complaint I was hearing in the field, and it wasn’t even close. Now, marketing is truly one of the top 2–3 assets we can brag about to our partners and future buyers. And that’s all because of the work you’ve done.”
– President & COO, Multi-Location Healthcare Organization
Why Independence Matters
I’m not here to sell you more advertising.
Agencies, platforms, and internal teams can all provide valuable expertise—but they may also have incentives, assumptions, or blind spots that shape how performance is interpreted. This audit provides a separate executive-level perspective focused solely on what appears to create value for your organization.
There is no media commission, no percentage-of-spend fee, and no requirement to move your marketing business. If spending less makes sense, that recommendation is just as valid as spending more.
- No media commissions
- No percentage-of-spend fees
- No agency contract required
- No incentive to recommend spending more
- No requirement to replace your current team or agency
- Recommendations based on business value, not channel ownership
How It Works
A focused process designed to require very little of your time.
The audit is intentionally structured to minimize disruption. You provide access to the relevant accounts, reports, and existing performance data. I handle the analysis and return with a prioritized executive view of what deserves action.
ACCESS
Provide the relevant information.
Share access to appropriate advertising, analytics, reporting, and conversion data. Existing reports can often accelerate the process.
ANALYSIS
I investigate the full holistic marketing picture.
I review spend, channel performance, attribution, funnel behavior, tracking, reporting, and structural risks through an independent executive lens.
FINDINGS
You receive prioritized recommendations.
We review what to keep, fix, stop, test, or investigate next—along with the rationale behind each recommendation.
Typical turnaround: 1-2 weeks.
Most clients should only need a short amount of time to provide initial access and context.
THE GUARANTEE
The audit should identify more value than it costs.
If I can’t identify credible opportunities to recover the cost of the audit through reduced waste, improved efficiency, or increased revenue potential, I’ll refund the audit fee.
The goal is simple: the engagement should pay for itself in identified value.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What executives usually want to know before an audit.
The engagement is designed to be focused, independent, and low-friction. These are some of the most common questions that come up before getting started.
Will my agency need to be involved?
Not necessarily. In many cases, the audit can begin with access to existing reports, platforms, and performance data. If agency involvement would help clarify an issue, that can be handled collaboratively rather than adversarially.
Do you need full access to our marketing accounts?
Usually not at the outset. Read-only or limited access is often enough to begin the review. If access is missing or controlled by a third party, that may itself reveal an important operational risk.
Are you trying to replace our marketing team or agency?
No. The audit is designed to provide an independent executive-level second opinion. The goal is to identify what is working, what may need attention, and where opportunities exist—not to displace existing partners.
What types of organizations are the best fit?
The strongest fit is typically an organization with meaningful ongoing marketing investment, especially one spending several thousand dollars per month on digital advertising, and leadership that wants a clearer view of performance and efficiency.
What if most of our marketing is not digital?
That is still relevant. The audit can also evaluate sponsorships, events, offline channels, reporting practices, funnel performance, and other forms of marketing investment where value may be difficult to measure.
How much time will my team need to spend?
The engagement is intentionally designed to require very little internal time. Most of the work is handled independently once access and context are provided.
Do you implement the recommendations?
The audit is focused on diagnosis and executive recommendations. If implementation work is needed, I can help identify the appropriate next step and, where relevant, point you toward outside resources.
What happens after the audit?
You can take the findings and implement them internally, use them with your existing agency or team, or continue with a separate advisory engagement if ongoing support would be useful.
READY FOR A CLEARER VIEW?
Before you spend more, find out whether you should.
If you’re investing meaningfully in marketing and still lack confidence in what is working, where value may be leaking, or what deserves attention next, an independent audit can provide the clarity to make better decisions.
The engagement is short-term, low-friction, and designed to identify value quickly.
Founding Client Rate: $995 for the first two engagements
Typical turnaround: 1–2 weeks
